| Rules of use for the Good Environmental Choice Label |
The mark of recognition for product conformity to the voluntary environmental labelling standards is a registered trademark of
Good Environmental Choice Australia Ltd (GECA). The label is issued to successful applications for a period of 2-5 years depending on the product design life cycle. One audit is undertaken during the license period to ensure compliance to the standard.
Upon issue the label can be printed by manufacturers on the product that was certified to the program or on related product
or service information.

(LICENCE NUMBER)
(NAME OF STANDARD)
A requirement of displaying the GOOD ENVIRONMENTAL CHOICE Mark is that the name of the standard the product
or service was certified against and the licence number shall be displayed with the Mark.
The significance of this mark must be contained on the contents instructions of the product. The logo can be displayed at any size on the product but should be legible to the average reader. The logo can be displayed in isolation on the product or the packaging.
We do however encourage certified producers
or service providers to include in any description of the product information
with regards to environmental performance. A detailed environmental product declaration is published for every Good Environmental Choice certified product and available on the certified products register.
