Getting
to the Conference
THE
DOME
The conference is to be held at the
Shine Dome, the conference centre of the Academy of Science in Gordon
Street, Acton on the ANU campus. For a map, see here.
FROM THE AIRPORT
A taxi from the Canberra Airport
to the Australian National University will cost approximately twenty
dollars. Canberra Cabs can be contacted on (02) 6215 8500.
For information on timetables and
fares for buses to and from the airport, visit Deane’s Buslines website

admin@deanesbuslines.com.au. Buses travel to and from the airport
from Canberra City approximately every hour, Monday to Friday and the
journey time is approximately 20 minutes.
BY CAR
Travel south along
Northbourne Avenue, then turn right onto Barry Drive. Turn left into
the Australian National University Campus at the traffic lights next
to the oval, Take the first right-hand turn. This is Daley Road. Follow
this road until you reach a small roundabout. Turn left at this roundabout,
then take the next right turn (this is still Daley Road). Turn left
onto Ward Road. Follow this road along and it will become Garran Road.
Follow this road through the intersection, going straight ahead onto
McCoy Circuit. Follow McCoy Circuit through the roundabout into Gordon
Street. You will see the Shine Dome across the road from Screen Sound
Australia. There are many parking stations on the way to the Shine Dome,
where parking is not available. This parking costs approximately $5.00

BY ACTION BUS
The number 34 bus travels to the Australian National University approximately
every 20 to 40 minutes. To view the timetable for the number 34 bus,
