|
Fitness for Purpose
Certified products should be good performers in their intended
application. Certain standards of product performance are
implicit in the label. |
The Exe, Ozone and Metzo have been
certified under AFRDI and copies of these certifications have
been received. FreeWay and Sentesi are currently undergoing
AFRDI certification. Product quality is ensured under an
internal quality control system. In general all the five product
ranges are designed and manufactured under the internal quality
system which ensures product fitness for purpose and quality. |

Materials
Wood and other natural materials from sources that are not
certified under a recognised certification scheme as being
sustainably managed, shall not originate from: Illegal
harvesting & Genetically modified organisms. |
The Bevisco Commercial Interiors
Pty Ltd product range contains particleboard and some MDF. The
main supplier is Laminex (95 to 99%) with some timber sought
from D & R Henderson and others. Laminex supply both E0 and
E1 boards. Laminex E0 boards are currently certified under GECA
and therefore are compliant with the requirements of this
criterion. Laminex E1 particileboard that is veneered by Laminex
either as Melamine, select timber veneers or Formica product is
compliant to this criterion.
Bevisco claims that it has been
using Particle board from other sources (like D&R Henderson)
only when customer insists on specific colour which is not
available with Laminex. The last time Bevisco used particle
board from other sources was in May and July 2006. Warehouse at
the production site was inspected. All the particle board stored
was from Laminex (Formica Vertiboard UF 33mm Flint 3600x1800).
The participle board from other sources is used only on rare
occasions and is not considered to be included into
certification. |

has replaced most of the end caps with metal caps. Few other
small components (if they weigh more than 100 g) Bevisco agreed
to place resin code stickers on them to facilitate easier
